Showing Local Charities Love with Pre-Loved Books

One of NOOK's core values is to spread the love of books throughout the community.  We believe reading great books can solve all life's problems - well, maybe not, but they can certainly help you forget them for a while!  

Making books accessible to all was the driving force behind setting up our Used Books section in the shop.  We asked the community to donate their previously loved books and wow, did they deliver!  We started with a few bags full and now have shelves and shelves bursting with books of all subjects, shapes and sizes.  These are all available to buy for just a couple of bucks a book and ALL the proceeds go to a different local charity chosen every month.

To date, NOOK has been able to donate hundreds of dollars a month to 'Tree of Hands, 'YEP', 'PAWS', 'The Family Support Network' and 'The Humane Society'.  We feel this is a real double whammy of joy, as not only is it providing great books to the community for just a few bucks, but it's also helping these incredible charities continue the great work they are doing in the community!

We couldn't do it without a very generous BVI community donating their used books so we want to say a big THANK YOU to them.  We literally could not do this without you!
